Chamber After 5
&
Chamber Coffee |
Monthly Chamber member get-togethers where
members have the opportunity to meet, exchange business cards,
and talk business in a relaxed and informal setting.
Members take turns sponsoring this event, which gives them the
opportunity to address the group and update them on current activities
within his or her particular business. This event is currently
scheduled on the last Thursday of the month and alternates between
Coffee & After 5.
Coffees are scheduled at 10am and Chamber After 5, a Business After
Hours, are held from 5:30-6:30pm at the location choice of the
business sponsoring the event.
The format is similar to that of Coffees, but geared toward attracting
those who are unable to leave work mid-day. Schedules are posted on

Annual
Meeting: |
This annual event highlights
the past year's accomplishments
and the upcoming year's goals and
priorities. Individuals are recognized for their outstanding
dedication to this organization. The newly elected members of
the Board of Directors are announced, along with the prior year's
Citizen of the Year. |

Rental |
Chamber members will receive 50%
off Community Center rental. Includes business, Associations, Family &
Individual members.
BONUS: On every 5th year anniversary receive (1) FREE
community center rental, to be used within the anniversary year.
Membership must be consecutive & current. |

Wedding Policy |
For every Hawarden Chamber business used,
receive $25 off the Community Center rental fee.
Examples: Caterer, Tuxes, Flowers, Photography, Lodging, Liquor
License Transfer, Hair/Makeup/Nails & Invitations.
NOTE: If you spend a cumulative total of $3,000 or more, with a local
Hawarden Chamber business, your rental fee is completely waived. Must
present estimate(s) or proof of purchase(s). |

Development Services |
Jason Anderson, Community Development
Director, is available to assist with any topic a Chamber member may
encounter. Services available can range from helping a new business
create a business plan to a retiring member implementing a succession
plan and anything in between. Jason can also provide assistance to
members who are looking for financing options including; grants,
incentives and low interest loans as well as technical assistance. He
has access to a large network of regional, state and national
organizations that can provide support. Please do not hesitate to

Chamber mailing labels can

the current time, these are available to member businesses at no

The Chamber receives
numerous
requests each year for recommendations on goods or services to be
purchased in Hawarden. We refer only Chamber members to these
inquiries by using our membership database. |

Only member businesses will
be listed on the Chamber Website. This listing includes address, phone
and website link. |

Chamber Scrip
Dollars |
Chamber scrip dollars are
available from the chamber office. They encourage local spending;
making it easier to give a gift or incentive, and to promote spending
at chamber member locations. Chamber energy scrip dollars are
purchased by the City of Hawarden as part of their energy efficiency
program and also encourage local spending. These dollars may be
spent at chamber member businesses only. |
