HAPPy Hour
HAPP Coffee |
A monthly get-together where members
and non-members, alike, have the opportunity to meet, exchange
business cards, and talk business in a relaxed and informal setting.
Different members sponsor the HAPPy Hour, 5:30 - 6:30pm or HAPP
Coffee, 10:00 am, which is held on the third Thursday of each
month. This time which gives
individuals the opportunity to address the group and update them on current
activities within his or her particular business.
HAPPy Hour & HAPP Coffee alternate between months. Watch Channel

| Annual Meeting: |
This annual event highlights
the past year's accomplishments and the upcoming year's goals and
priorities. Individuals are recognized for their outstanding
dedication to this organization. The newly elected members of
the Board of Directors are announced, along with the prior year's
Citizen of the Year. |

Task Force: |
Participation in committee
activities and working with others on major projects offers members
additional opportunities to meet business and professional people with
similar interests. |

HAPP's quarterly newsletter is
designed to keep you informed on committee and community activities, HAPP events, local business issues and member businesses. |
| Membership Window Decal: |
Identify yourself as a HAPP
member with this cling-type window decal. Advertising will be done
throughout the year to encourage the community to support member
businesses. |
| Mailing Labels: |
HAPP's mailing labels can
give you direct access to a target audience of business prospects. At
the current time, these are available to member businesses at no
charge. |
| Referrals: |
HAPP receives hundreds of
requests each year for recommendations on goods or services to be
purchased in Hawarden. We refer only HAPP members to these
inquiries by using our membership database. |
| Literature Distribution: |
Members can display
brochures in the HAPP lobby at no cost, giving your business exposure
to the many residents and visitors who visit the HAPP office. In
addition, these brochures will be included in the new resident
packets. |
| Website Exposure: |
Only member businesses will
be listed on the HAPP Website. This listing includes address, phone
and website link. |

throughout the year bring members together for both business and

| HAPP Scrip Dollars: |
HAPP scrip dollars are
available from the HAPP office. They encourage local spending;
making it easier to give a gift or incentive, and to promote spending
at HAPP member locations. HAPP energy scrip dollars are
purchased by the City of Hawarden as part of their energy efficiency
program and also encourage local spending. These dollars may be
spent at HAPP member businesses only. |
